Most answers are already on your machine — and when they aren't, a human reads every message.
First stops on your computer
Press Meta, type Guide, and open Welcome Guide — printers, Wi-Fi, apps, backups, and shortcuts, readable even with no internet.
Press Meta, type Manual, and open Dagric Manual — a page on every application on the machine: what it is, what it replaced on Windows, and the five things you'll actually do with it. Its search understands the Windows names, so Notepad finds the text editor. No internet needed.
One window for the fix-it tools: graphics drivers, Finish Setup (printers/HP), Security Checkup, and the layout switcher. Meta → type Hub.
Reboot, and in the boot menu open Dagric snapshots — pick the snapshot from before the update and you're back in minutes, files intact.
Common quick fixes
- No sound after boot — click the speaker icon in the tray and check the output device; a monitor's HDMI audio often grabs default.
- Wi-Fi missing on very new laptops — connect briefly by phone-USB tethering or cable, run updates (firmware arrives via LVFS), reboot.
- NVIDIA screen issues — open the Hub → NVIDIA driver; with Secure Boot on, complete the blue MOK screen at reboot (Enroll MOK → Continue).
- A Windows program you miss — open the Hub → Windows apps — Bottles (on either edition), or use the web app in Firefox.
- Printer won't appear — most work driverless; for HP all-in-ones run the Hub → Finish Setup → HP support.
