Own it outright.
Dagric comes from dagr — Old Norse for day — and ric — ruler. Your computer, your day, your rule. That's the whole idea.
Why we built it
Somewhere along the way, the operating system stopped working for the person who bought the computer. It started watching, advertising, nagging, restarting itself at the worst moment, and renting you back features you already owned. Dagric OS is the antithesis: a desktop that is quiet, private, fast, and finished — set up the way a careful friend would set it up, and then it gets out of your way.
What we promise
- Zero telemetry. Not "anonymized," not "opt-out." None exists.
- No ads, no accounts. The desktop is not a billboard, and your machine works without permission from a server.
- No forced restarts. Security updates land silently; the reboot is yours to choose.
- No subscriptions. Pro is one purchase. No license server ever checks on you.
- Repairable by design. Snapshots before updates; roll back from the boot menu.
Standing on giants
Dagric OS is built from free and open-source software — the Linux kernel, Debian 13, and KDE Plasma — curated, hardened, branded, and tested into a coherent product. We honor every license, publish checksums and GPG signatures for every release, and never bundle proprietary software: things like Steam or the NVIDIA driver install only when you ask, with one click.
When you buy Pro, you're not buying exclusivity over free software — you're buying curation, convenience, integration, and support, and you're funding the work that keeps Dagric OS maintained.
Who we are
Dagric OS is made by DGR Operations, an independent company in the United States. Small on purpose: one product, done right.
